Weekly runs, timesheet volume, multiple rates, assignment-based pay and workers who notice immediately when something is wrong.
Agency payrollPayroll
Accurate processing, secure payslips, clear reporting and a named contact — without maintaining a full internal payroll department.
The proposition
Payroll affects every employee, every pay period and the reputation of your business.
MZ Management provides dependable payroll for businesses that want accurate processing, clear reporting and reliable support without maintaining a full internal payroll department. Payroll is available to clients throughout the UK, not only in our property service area.
Switching
Most payroll disasters happen during a badly run handover. This is the sequence we use to avoid one.
We look at your current setup, frequency, headcount, software and what is going wrong.
Employee records, year-to-date figures, pension and statutory positions are collected and checked.
Data is moved securely and reconciled against your last submitted run.
Year-to-date figures, tax codes and pension positions are verified before the first live run.
The first payroll is prepared and sent to you for approval before anything is submitted or paid.
A repeating cycle with agreed cut-off dates, approval points and reporting.
Sectors
Different industries break payroll in different ways. These are the ones we see most.
Weekly runs, timesheet volume, multiple rates, assignment-based pay and workers who notice immediately when something is wrong.
Agency payrollSites, subcontractors, varying hours, travel and the pace of a payroll that cannot wait for paperwork to catch up.
Construction payrollRotas, unsocial hours, sleep-ins, statutory pay and a workforce where errors have real consequences.

Small business payrollWhen it goes wrong
If your payroll has failed, your provider has gone quiet or the person who ran it has left without a handover, say so when you call.
A failed pay run is a people problem before it is an accounting problem. We will tell you quickly and honestly whether we can help for the run in question or whether the realistic target is the one after it.
What we will need immediately. Your last submitted payroll figures, employee list with tax codes and year-to-date totals, pay dates, and access to the current software if it still exists. If some of that is missing, we can still help — it just changes the timetable.

Three short steps. We price on what your payroll actually involves rather than a headcount guess, and we tell you honestly how quickly it can move.

We will review your requirements and come back with a written quote and a proposed switching timetable. If your next pay run is at risk, call us and say so.
Questions
A straightforward monthly payroll can often move within one pay cycle. Weekly, multi-site or agency payrolls with messy year-to-date data take longer. We give you an honest timetable at the quote stage — we would rather delay by one run than get the first one wrong.
Employee numbers, pay frequency, industry, number of sites, current software and the main thing that is going wrong. If you have a recent payroll summary and your last FPS submission, that makes the quote considerably more accurate.
Yes. Weekly and fortnightly timesheet-driven payroll with multiple pay rates, overtime, shift premiums and holiday accrual is routine work for us, particularly for agencies and construction.
Final submissions, P60s and the year-end reconciliation are part of the service. Where you also use an accountant, we supply the journals and reports they need in the format they ask for.
Only if you want us to. Some clients want all employee payslip queries routed to us; others prefer to keep that in-house. Either arrangement works, provided it is agreed at the start so nobody is left waiting.
We handle the payroll side — contributions, assessment data and the file the pension provider needs. Where a scheme still needs setting up, we will tell you what is required and coordinate with your provider.
Call us and say so. Correcting a run that has already been submitted is a different job from taking over a clean payroll, and it is one we will look at, but the sooner we see it the more options there are.
Pricing depends on frequency, headcount, number of sites and how much processing sits behind each run. A weekly agency payroll of 40 workers is more work than a monthly salaried payroll of 40. The quote sets out what is included so there are no per-payslip surprises.
